Grade 5 has been busy developing plans for a sculpture project that links to their current exhibition unit. Students were given the challenge :
Your assignment for this unit is to represent a culture you identify with through a piece of art.
Each student will receive a styrofoam sculpture head that can be painted on, or added to in order to express your particular culture. YOU may decide what culture you are representing (likely a nationality such as where you were born or live now, but not necessarily). Be creative- Think about what culture is very important to you and how it shapes the person you are.
